Using Lander
Account and sign-in
You sign in to Reddit on Reddit's own login page, shown inside the app, so your password goes to Reddit and not to Lander. A Reddit account is required to use the app.
Supported devices
Lander supports iPhone and iPad with iOS or iPadOS 17 or later. Lander Vision is a separate app for Apple Vision Pro with visionOS 26 or later. Liquid Glass and other system features depend on your OS and device; installing Lander does not require the newest iOS version.
Open Reddit links from Safari
On iPhone or iPad, enable Open in Lander in Apple Settings > Apps > Safari > Extensions. On iOS 17, Safari is directly in Settings. Allow the extension on Reddit websites when Safari asks, then open a supported Reddit link. You can change those permissions in Safari at any time; see Apple’s extension settings guide. The Safari extension is separate from Lander’s setting for opening outgoing links in an in-app browser.

Privacy
Lander has no ads or advertising tracking. Your session is stored in Keychain. Diagnostics are enabled by default and can be turned off in Settings; relay and account-routing choices are explained on the privacy page.
Common topics
Private browsing relay
Columbia routes supported public reads by default, with direct fallback when needed. Signed-in requests normally go direct. On iPhone and iPad, Settings > Advanced > Columbia includes the relay switch and the separate “Route my account too” opt-in. In Lander Vision, Settings > Privacy > Columbia (Privacy Relay) lets you configure the hosted or self-hosted source. Read the routing and operator-trust explanation before changing these options.
Themes and reading
Twenty-two hand-tuned themes, gesture-driven browsing, full-screen media, and a true multi-column layout on iPad. Most look-and-feel choices live in Settings — and every theme is on this site, wearable.
Gestures
Swipe behavior is configurable and continues to be refined. If a gesture feels inconsistent, check the exact screen and direction where it happens.
